EOD Issue 7
September, 1992
Edited & Published by Chris A. Masters
A5, 92 pp., saddle-stapled, card cover.
EOD #7 didn't come out until September 1992, nearly six months after the previous issue. Shoggoth #1 had taken up a lot of my time and resources, and I was quite busy doing other things -- after all, I did actually have a life outside of editing and publishing.
This issue also saw the announcement of the winners in the short story contest where readers got to vote for their top three stories published in the previous six issues. The winning story was "Dead Air" by Rick Kennett (EOD #6) which earned Rick $80. The second prize of $40 went to "Maggie's Place" (EOD #5) by Steven Proposch, and the third prize of $20 went to "Twist of the Knife" (EOD #5) by Sean Williams.
Steven Proposch was kind enough to print the cover again, and with this issue, I decided to change the look of the cover with a new EOD logo and an all black background, instead of the grey borders on previous covers. Issue 7 also saw EOD break the six issue record of The Australian Horror and Fantasy Magazine (AH&FM), which ran for six issues (five actually as their fifth was a double issue) in the mid to late 1980s.
EOD #7 also saw me take on board Steven Proposch and Tony Brook as assistant editors.
